The Locate First UK offering of the UK Electoral Roll is an exciting new resource for birth parent and adoptee searching; locating lost friends and family and pursuing genealogical and family history research.
The online database contains over 44 million records of the Electoral Roll, and you may search by first name, last name, door number, street, village, town, county and/or postcode. The search INSTANTLY provides up to 200 results that match your criteria, however, there is an administrative fee required in order to see them. Results include name, address, city/province and postal code. Any additional results can be e-mailed to you at no additional cost.
The UK Electoral Roll includes adults over the age of 18 and whilst it is a legal obligation that every person in the UK enters their details it is a recognized fact that a small percentage of the population do not do so. Persons not included in the Electoral Roll include; juveniles below the age of 18, homeless people, travelers and gypsies, active serving forces members, some government personnel, persons serving prison sentences and non-British citizens. The database is supplied by a third party, if you wish to have your own information removed; a form is available upon request.
